Arts Community
Hot Springs has a thriving arts community with many art galleries, museums and festivals. Gallery Walk is held in the Arts District in Downtown Hot Springs on the first Friday of every month beginning at 5 p.m. for art enthusiasts to enjoy the artists' creations.
Hot Springs National Park
The first area to be set aside by the United States for its natural features, Hot Springs National Park is known for its 47 hot springs with an average temperature of 143 degrees Fahrenheit. With the natural beauty of the Ouachita Mountains weaved into the park, HSNP is an unusual blend of highly developed park surrounded by a small city.
Oaklawn Park
One of the premiere Thoroughbred racetracks in the country, Oaklawn Park has provided entertainment for Hot Springs since 1904. The $1 million Arkansas Derby attracts visitors from all over the country. Oaklawn also has a large gaming center with reel games, table games and other casino games of skill.
