Hot Springs Metro Partnership to Host Entrepreneurship Webinars
The Hot Springs Metro Partnership is set to host two live, complimentary webinars on Thursday, April 20th and Thursday, April 27th from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. CT in the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Community Room.
The Webinars are conducted by IEDC (International Economic Development Council) and will offer expert advice from entrepreneurial leaders from across the world.
The first webinar on April 20th will focus on “Crowdfunding – A Financial Alternative for Entrepreneurs.” Speakers will include Aaron Hagar, Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and Anthony Zeoli, Partner at Freeborn & Peters LLP.
This webinar will specifically cover:
The types of crowdfunding sources available and the JOBS Act
How economic development can use crowdfunding as a job creation diversification tool
Case studies from urban and rural communities which demonstrate startup launch successes through crowdfunding
The second webinar presented by 61° Celsius on April 27th will focus on “Women in Entrepreneurship: How You Can Help Break Barriers to Entry.” Speakers will include Dr. Patricia Fletcher, Co-Founder & CEO of PSDNetwork, LLC, Carol Kraus Lauffer, Principal at the Business Cluster Development and Penny Lewandowski, Vice President of Entrepreneurship & Strategic Direction at the Edward Lowe Foundation.
This webinar will specifically cover:
Current challenges female entrepreneurs may face within the community
Available tools used to measure and assist budding female-owned startups, including support networks and equity finance options
Industry and market changes that women entrepreneurs can tap into
